Did you know that the Creation Care Ministry hosts Third Saturday Gardening on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon?
We have been wondering what our outdoor sacred space could look like if we started tending it as part of an ecosystem. We don’t know the answer to that yet, but we’re willing to give it a try.
If this sounds like something that interests you, then come and join us as we work with this fragile Earth, our island home. Our next work day will be Saturday, April 15. There are many tasks that vary from digging and chopping to weeding and carrying logs. Bring your favorite tools and find a job that suits you.
Butterflies need violets! If you have more violets than you want, please bring them, with their roots wet, to the lower end of the top parking lot. You’re welcome to plant them yourself. Or just drop them off, and we’ll do that for you.
There are many other gardening and outdoor tasks that need to be done. Join us any time between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Questions? Please contact Margaret Bain.
