Pumpkin, Potluck & Prayer

We invite all families, individuals, couples, friends, to join us for this all-parish seasonal gathering.
The event will start with the carving and decorating of our Halloween pumpkins followed by prayer over a shared BBQ and potluck dinner.
We will provide the BBQ and drinks, but please bring a dessert if your last name begins with A–M or a salad if your last name begins with N–Z.
Bring your own pumpkin, and carving supplies if you have them. Please bring a friend too, so they can experience the welcoming Holy Comforter community.
Prizes awarded for the most creative and scariest pumpkins!
Wear your favorite Halloween attire!

Need Pumpkins? Since 2008, the parishioners of St. Thomas, McLean have donated their time and energy to host a Pumpkin Patch fundraiser. ALL proceeds from pumpkin sales are donated to local mission partners: SHARE, Falls Church McLean Children’s Center, and Second Story!
St. Thomas pumpkins are grown by the Navajo nation in New Mexico. In addition to traditional orange pumpkins there are a wide variety of exotic pumpkins and different types of gourds.
The Pumpkin Patch is held at St. Thomas church, 8991, Brook Rd, McLean 22102. Open Sunday, October 6 through October 31. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekends; noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
