(Sponsored by Becoming Beloved Community)
The Town of Vienna Virginia’s Liberty Amendments Month celebrates the following Amendments to the Constitution:
13th (Abolition of Slavery) 14th (Citizenship and Equal Rights) 15th (Voting Rights) 19th (Women’s Right to Vote)
Community organizations, businesses and individuals are participating in four weeks of festivities from June 19 through July 17, 2021. That includes Holy Comforter!
On Sunday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m., join us for a concert on the front lawn of music related to all four amendments.
Classical Artists Directed by HALO, Inc will present musical selections along with a spoken narrative that will speak to both the aspirations of the amendments as well as the harsh realities that were experienced in their wake.
The concert will include a variety of styles—classical, spirituals, barbershop, and Broadway selections—that speak to the truth and history of these amendments. Come for an educational and uplifting program for all ages!
Bring your own lawn chairs and picnic blankets for an evening of music outdoors!
THIS PROGRAM IS FREE OF CHARGE!
