Our special book and movie club meets monthly, alternating between discussing books and movies, featuring titles that will deepen our understanding of racial justice. We include fiction and nonfiction, drama and documentaries.

Isabel Wilkerson gives us a masterful portrait of an unseen phenomenon in America as she explores, through a deeply researched narrative of real people, how America today and throughout its history has been shaped by a hidden caste system, a rigid hierarchy of human rankings. The book is available for $15 in both print and on Kindle. Please read ahead of time, and we’ll discuss during the Zoom call. Two copies of Caste are also available in the Holy Comforter library.
