We’ll gather at 9.30 a.m. for refreshments and fellowship. Retreat begins at 10 a.m. in the Chapel.
The Advent season celebrates the mystery of God coming to dwell with us, to “make a home” in and among us. Using poetry, music, and visual art, this Quiet Morning will invite us to meditate together on what it means to prepare a place, in our hearts, in our homes, in our world, for the coming of the One who is God-with-us. Periods of silent prayer will offer an opportunity to sink into the mystery and the wonder of this holy season.
This Advent Quiet Morning will be led by Dr. Kathy Staudt, a spiritual director and poet who has taught at Virginia Theological Seminary, Wesley Seminary, and the University of Maryland. Kathy is much in demand as a retreat leader; we are thrilled to have her with us for this special event. Bring a journal to record your thoughts.
