Day 5- Last Work Day

Hey Y’all!

A few of us started our day with a dip in the pool before breakfast, where we had french toast and ham. We all went to our rooms, packed up, and left Aguas Buenas. After a long drive we arrived at our final work site! We worked at an elderly folks home and helped repaint their rooftop patio. We scraped, painted, and even built flower boxes. After a few hours of working in the warm Puerto Rico sun, we were blessed with pizza provided by the retirement home.

We made our way to the van to head to Camp Capuchino, but half of our group got stuck in the elevator 😱. Don’t worry, Colby pried the door open and they all got out safely.

Stuck in the elevator with our service coordinator for the day, Santi. Temperature was approx. 495*F

We went to Camp Capuchino and all got ready for a night on the town. At Camp, we met the cutest dogs that live there who loved all the pets we were giving them.

We all loaded into the van and drove to a beach in San Juan! The water was super refreshing after a hard day of work. After swimming we walked to a pizza place(yes…pizza for 2 meals lol) and our group demolished 6 delicious pizzas.

After our yummy dinner we drove back to Camp Capuchino, had evening prayer, then all went to bed to end our amazing last day of work!
