Day 2- Work Day

Our second day In Aguas Buenas started bright and early at 8 am for some nourishing breakfast! After our first meal we packed lunch for the road and then headed to do our morning worship, where we sang some hymns and did some relaxing meditation. Next step to our day was packing the van and heading to our first work site. A woman who’s lost a number of people in her life recently and needed much help with cleaning the yard and getting a fresh coat of paint, so we got to work scrapping paint, raking leaves, and cutting vines. After a few hours it was to to break for lunch, and in the morning we packed a variety of ham/turkey and cheese sandwich’s, pork danishes, pb & j, and many chips and cookies. After lunch it was back to work, where we finished up the back yard and scraping the paint of the fence and walls.

At around 4 we packed up the van and headed to an ice cream shop for a sweet treat after working! While we were there we walked around to look at a pond and we saw many adorable cats around. After we were full we headed back to our temporary home at Casa Cristo Redentor. Some of the crew had a quick swim and then headed to dinner. We had a lovely dinner with pasta, salad, and garlic bread. After dinner it was time for the our nighttime worship where we shared our highs and lows and prayed for ourselves and others. We are so grateful to be blessed by god for a great first day at work!

Nos vemos manana!
