Our special book and movie club meets monthly, alternating between discussing books and movies, featuring titles that will deepen our understanding of racial justice. We include fiction and nonfiction, drama and documentaries.

Join us for a discussion of The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Based on a true story, this young adult book tells about a 16-year-old girl who witnesses the police shooting of a childhood friend and becomes involved in the fight against criminal injustice. The book was later made into a movie. Read the book or watch the movie—or do both! We’ll discuss during the Zoom call.
